POWER & LIGHT DISTRICT
“The biggest catalyst in KC's revival was the development and debut of the Power & Light District.” - CNN
In the mid-2000’s, the City of Kansas City, Missouri partnered with us to redevelop nine blighted blocks of the city’s urban core. We transformed this area into the Power & Light District, a vibrant $850 million retail, entertainment, office and residential project that has been central to the rebirth of Kansas City. One of the most successful urban re-developments in the country, the District has been the cornerstone of a $6.5 billion urban renaissance for Kansas City. It features over 50 unique restaurants, shops and entertainment venues, alongside two renovated historic theaters, the corporate headquarters of H&R Block, a gourmet grocery store, and a luxury gym. The District is also home to our Kansas City Live! entertainment district, which draws millions of visitors per year, and two luxury residential towers, One Light and Two Light.
The Power & Light District was awarded the Urban Land Institute Award of Excellence in 2009.
