DIVERSE & INCLUSIVE PROJECTS AND WORKFORCES

Our projects welcome over 50 million visitors a year who reflect the full diversity of the communities in which we develop. We are equally proud to have built one of the most diverse and inclusive workforces in the country: over 47% of our overall workforce is minority. In the gaming industry, we are a market leader, with a workforce that is over 60% minority, with over 400 minority employees in executive roles. We have also been nationally recognized for our employment of local and minority-owned businesses in all phases of our projects’ construction, including developing the first major casino in the United States using a minority-owned general contractor. Among other awards, we have been named the Most Inclusive Corporation of the Year Award for Minority Business by the Maryland/DC Minority Contractors’ Association. See us in action.

Inclusive Projects

We welcome over 50 million visitors a year to our projects. Our projects reflect the communities they are in, and we actively program them year-round with community events to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Vendor Diversity

Minority vendor outreach is an ongoing component of our diversity efforts. We work with a variety of local non-profit and civic agencies in the markets we operate to help implement inclusive vendor outreach. In our casino developments, such as Maryland Live!, we form task forces specifically to focus on increasing Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation in vending.

MBE/WBEs In Project Construction

Utilizing local, minority and women-owned businesses during the construction of our developments is part of our corporate culture. We have an award-winning track record in defining innovative initiatives to remove barriers and build capacity for diverse companies. We embrace aggressive MBE/WBE participation goals in the construction of our projects, and have consistently met or exceeded such MBE/WBE thresholds across our developments.

Local Hiring

We routinely implement recruitment and training programs for locals, to ensure that the new jobs and economic opportunities we create flow to residents. We also work with local non-profit agencies to help implement these policies. It’s not just the right thing to do—it’s good business, helping us attract some of the best and most committed employees in the country.
